The nurse practitioner runs a Fast Track Treatment Scheme where a patient can make an appointment to be seen on the day with minor conditions such as sore throats, rashes, chest infections, wound infection and urinary tract infections. She can also provide emergency contraception. Should the nurse practitioner think it necessary, you will be seen by a GP. |

Community nursing staff, after
consultation with the doctors, provide a range of skilled nursing care, advice
and teaching for housebound patients, whether temporary or permanent. The team includes
both registered nurses and health care assistants to provide a comprehensive
service. Contact them by phoning the surgery.
The Health Visitor offers regular checks of your child's development from birth until starting at school, providing an ideal opportunity to discuss any worries or queries you might have.
The Practice would expect that all children will receive their childhood immunisations unless there is a specific medical reason not to do so. The health visiting team can be contacted on 01202 486801 between 9.00 and 10.30am or a message can be left on the answerphone. Remember if your child is unwell - ring the surgery on 01202 488486. Outside these times please use the out-of-hours service or contact NHS Direct on: 0845 46 47.
Our receptionists are here to help access your appointments, collect your prescriptions or answer your queries. They may need to ask you for further details about your requests when you at the surgery or when you telephone. This is to ensure we can assist you as speedily as possible. They are often busy helping someone else so you may have to wait for their attention. Your patience is appreciated.
We also have a team of staff behind the scenes working hard on your behalf to organise the services we provide, communicate with other areas of the NHS and keep your records up to date.
